The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon’s scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.
The Sustainability Measurement & Abatement Technology team builds technical solutions to track, record, and forecast Amazon's WW impact on the Environment (i.e., Carbon, Water, Waste, etc.). This includes calculating past and current impacts and future abatement plans, ensuring credibility through standards and validations, and highlighting non-obvious opportunities for Amazon’s global business teams.
The Sustainability Measurement & Abatement Technology team is looking for a product leader to build scalable data pathways for tracking carbon abatements within our measurement system. Key job responsibilities
Comfortably sort through urgency and opportunity to continuously deliver for customers while maintaining progress towards long term targetsCollaborate with groups of experts and cross-functional colleagues in an agile environmentDiscover, define, and apply scientific, engineering, and business best practices to customer problemsWork on a variety of challenging problems that have to potential to significantly impact sustainability objectivesWork with cross-functional leaders (e.g. sustainability experts, scientists, economists, engineers, etc.) to translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables, including the design, development, testing, and deployment of highly scalable, distributed services

- Bachelor's degree- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planningPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
