The Arts Division offers both creative and critical studies of art and culture at the undergraduate and graduate level. The Division is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all students.

JOB SUMMARY

The Arts Student Success Project Coordinator applies a variety of analytical, project planning, and administrative skills in support of the Dean's Office's student success initiatives, event programming development and coordination, as well as administrative coordination and support.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Excellent verbal and active listening skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and the public.

Ability to analyze, research and synthesize data with strong attention to detail.

Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.

Collaborative approach to support special event planning, preparation and execution.

Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion when handling confidential matters.

Demonstrated events experience.

Excellent writing skills for preparing various documents, reports and executive level correspondence.

Ability to operate within a set budget and provide clear information on budget.

Experience with financial policies related to travel, reimbursement, etc.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an environment with a high-volume workload with frequently shifting, and at times competing, deadlines and priorities.

Demonstrated organizational skills.

Ability to perform routine website maintenance.

Demonstrated commitment to embracing diversity in all its forms.

Ability to work effectively both as part of a collaborative team and individually.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of overall academic program goals and objectives for the Arts and the campus.

Experience working in an academic setting.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.

Must possess a valid license to drive in the state of California.

Ability to work long periods of time at a computer with or without accommodation.

The selected candidate will be required to work primarily on campus, with periods of remote work possible based on operational needs.

Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as directed.
