Our team works on diverse projects spanning Large Language Models, Information Retrieval, Natural Language Understanding, and Engagement optimization.Key Job Responsibilities

In this role you will:Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and transformer-based models for improving Amazon’s end-user experience and launching new features.Perform hands-on data analysis and modeling with large data sets to develop insights that increase device usage and customer experience.Apply machine learning and natural language understanding techniques to improve our conversational interfaces and search algorithms.Run A/B experiments, evaluate the impact of your optimizations and communicate your results to various business stakeholders.Work closely with product managers and software engineers to design experiments and implement end-to-end solutions.Be a member of the Amazon-wide machine learning community, participating in internal and external Hackathons and Conferences.Help attract and recruit technical talent.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.Experience implementing algorithms using both toolkits and self-developed code.3+ years of practical machine learning experience.1+ years of building models for business application experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application experience.Experience in professional software development.Solid ML background and experience with NLP and LLM algorithms and tools.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
