Job Description:
The Research Associate (Stem Cell Group) plays a role in the fast-paced and dynamic manufacture and R&D team. She/he will support the lead scientists to execute the projects in product generation, CRO services and R&D programs in the Stem Cell group, including human iPSC/ESC culture, reprogramming, differentiation, and assay development using the iPSC derivatives. Extensive hands-on experience in working with human iPSCs is required. The individual will interact with other internal and external departments for project development.Major Roles and
ResponsibilitiesWork under the supervision of the lead scientists in Stem Cell group, including product generation & QC, CRO services and R&D projectsHuman iPSC/ESC culture, reprogramming, differentiation, and assay development using the iPSC derivativesAssist with and perform other experiments as required. Conduct routine lab duties as assignedKeep good data recording (with all the experimental details, using the required formats)QualificationsMinimum of a bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology or closely related fieldsExtensive hands-on experience in working with human iPSCs is requiredExperience in the
in vitro
neuronal culture is idealPrior experience with immunocytochemistry and FACS based immunology assays is highly desiredExcellent attention to details with proven communication and problem solving skillsSuperior time and project-management skills; commitment to anticipating and meeting deadlinesFlexibility and ability to respond to changing priorities and project directionsWilling and able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime is a plus
