This position is responsible for a full range of account management activities associated with developing, expanding, and servicing production facilities in Minnesota. The account base has significant competitive potential in many industries in the precision and rough grinding markets, as well as managing Lawson Products (a large national MRO keep stock distributor). This territory is ripe with opportunities. Collaboration with our distributor partners is critical and must be a focus to succeed in this territory. This includes planning, joint sales calls, and hands-on training. Territory accounts can be demanding and require strategic, focused planning and execution. The candidate must be as comfortable working with a machine operator and testing an abrasive product as they are presenting a growth plan to a large multi-national corporation and/or a company president.This territory is over $3 million in annual sales and includes very large end-users like Round Ground Metals, Banner Services, Rexnord, and Primedge. The District 82 Sales Manager and the Midwest Area management team are focused on personal development that includes helping our salespeople achieve success in their territory and in their career. COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Interested candidates should have 3-5 years of selling experience. This territory requires being adept at managing distribution. All national distributors and several large regional distributors are well represented in this territory. The large end-users use abrasive products across our product offering including rough, precision, coated, super abrasives, thin wheel, and potential opportunities in system components products. This is truly a territory where it is something new every day, so being able to prioritize, adapt, and succeed are key traits we are seeking.
