Job PurposeThe Export/Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for administering export compliance program activity. This person reports directly to the Sr. Director of Cruise Operations and Sr. Director Trade and Compliance. Partners across the company to provide export compliance guidance and process development to ensure compliance. This individual will also respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to daily internal and external compliance inquiries.Manage 3rd party compliance providers USDA, USDC, CBP, etc., as necessary for destination markets.Generate and validate certificate applications with appropriate compliance providers.Act as author, reviewer, or signatory on shipping and/or customs related documents that are Sherwood generated.Maintain proficiency on applicable laws and regulations issued by various government agencies and translate them into business compliance best practices.Facilitate free trade program, including working with buyers who source the product to confirm eligibility of product for FTA programs.Actively use ACE account for filing EEI level data on Sherwood routed exports.Generate SLI-EEI data points for customer routed exports.Own, correct, and self-report errors to team and leadership for process improvement opportunities.Follow established internal compliance procedures with active input for improvement to increase business growth.Qualifications and ExperiencePrior compliance experience.Ability to establish appropriate timelines and to meet project milestones and timelines.Harvest-Sherwood is committed to offering competitive benefits to our employees and their dependents, including paid vacation, health insurances, and a 401K plan!*We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
