iXCells Inc. (San Diego) is expanding its in vitro assay group. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate who will play a role in our fast-paced R&D team.Major Roles and
ResponsibilitiesSupport research efforts for target identification, target validation, drug screening, hit confirmation, and mechanism of action studiesProficiency in data analysis and experiment troubleshooting; accurately interpret data and communicate experimental results internallySearch and utilize literatures and external resources to support ongoing studiesParticipate in cross-functional collaborations if neededAssist with laboratory maintenanceQualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor degree in biology, biochemistry,pharmacologyor closely related fields; Master’s degree with working experience is preferredHands experience on molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology techniques, such as molecular cloning, cell culture, DNA/RNA transfection, virus transduction, RNA isolation, real-time PCR, immunoblot, ELISA, MSD multiplex assay, cell viability assay, enzyme activity assay, etc.Experience in cell culture and/or assay development is a plusAble to effectively multitask and advance various projects simultaneouslyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quicklyDetail-oriented with excellent organization and record-keeping skillsStrong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and other software/websites for sequencing analysis and data graphingExcellent oral and written communication skillsAble to work in a team-oriented environment. Effectively collaborate across functional teams
