The Employment Law Attorney will handle and support a heavy and complex caseload of cases from pre-litigation, litigation, trial prep and trial.ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day handling of cases from pre-litigation to litigationHandling pre-suit side, litigation, and assisting senior attorneys on larger litigationThis position involves being paired with an experienced attorney who does news-worthy class discrimination cases, wage/hour collective actions and ERISA class cases as well as high-level single plaintiff pre-litigation/litigation casesDrafting of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandumGuide clients through the case processInteraction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavitsNegotiating settlements on high-level casesAssisting in case selection and screeningAttendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearancesQualificationsLaw degree from a fully accredited law schoolAn active member in good standing with the Florida State Bar AssociationMinimum 2-5+ years of employment law experienceExperience on wage and hour claims or employment claims is a PLUSAbility to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation casesExcellent client service and communication skillsSelf-starter driven by long-term career goalsBenefitsMorgan & Morgan is a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful.
