ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR – ARTOLIVE-HARVEY COLLEGE
Olive-Harvey College and its satellite site, the South Chicago Learning Center, offer associates degrees, short-term certificate programs, professional and personal development courses, as well as GED and ESL programs. Through College to Careers, Olive-Harvey College offers programs that have been developed with employers and four-year colleges in transportation, distribution and logistics (TDL), one of the region’s fastest-growing industries. The Department of Humanities is currently seeking an Art Adjunct Instructor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:You must demonstrate excellence in teaching, commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process and the ability to inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed.Maintain office hours for advising, mentoring and coaching students.Development and revision of courses and instructional materials as necessary.Post syllabi and grades on Brightspace.QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree with a major in Art, and relevant teaching experience.Knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System.Must be able to work in a multicultural environment that reflects our student body and embraces our vision and mission.All interested candidates, including City Colleges of Chicago employees, must submit the following documents for review:A letter of interestResume or curriculum vitaeA statement of your teaching philosophyA legible copy of your college transcripts (Unofficial transcripts initially accepted, official transcripts must be provided at the time of interview)Two letters of recommendationWe are an equal and affirmative action employer.Thank you for your interest in City Colleges
