Leads $2.7B service merchandising business for 2,200 store automotive retail network. Responsible for driving product and category strategies focused on revenue and margin growth through oversight of category management resources. Clearly communicates category strategy to senior leaders with intent of influencing and gaining agreement among key constituents. Develops strategic plans for category segments or large specialty categories to drive intended results. Builds and leverages relationships with external suppliers, marketing, operations, store teams, and procurement. Work involves strategic-level planning to leverage financial profit drivers for long-range product category strategy.The ideal candidate will currently be residing in the Nashville, TN area.Responsibilities

Service merchandising ($2.4B category)Strategic ownership for assortment, pricing and promotion, supplier relationships, and growth programsDevelop strategies to maximize sales and profit across all Service categories including Oil, Brakes, Batteries, Alignments, Inspections and other Maintenance & Repair servicesOversee marketing support plans and co-op investment strategies for all categoriesCollaborate with finance during forecast and mid-term planning windows to provide accurate sales & GP projectionsAssess and recommend supply and distribution strategies for $400M+ in annual parts and materials purchasesResponsible for developing innovation road maps related to products, services, and operational efficiency driversPartner with pricing team to set margin enrichment targets and oversee service zone pricing strategyCollaborate with Procurement on sourcing activity including assortment strategy and parts RFPsResponsible for $40M+ in supplier rebates for bottom line integrationResponsible for outside purchases through POS and relationship management with program groupsSit as a participant and advisor on the BSRO Executive Leadership Team meetings as assignedMinimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree10 years of prior relevant experience in Category Management with P&L responsibilityExperience leading teams and managers of individual contributorsAbility to influence actions across a broad cross-functional team without direct authorityPreferred Qualifications

MBA PreferredAutomotive and/or retail environment experienceCategory Management Association Certification
