In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our electrical engineering team and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.What You’ll Do:Design medium voltage power distribution systems in compliance with local municipal and public utility building codesDesign protective relay logic schemes and settingsDesign DC power for MV support control and annunciation systemsDesign medium voltage equipment layouts including, substation yards, medium voltage electrical rooms and outdoor equipment locationCreate grounding designs and perform site analysisDesign lighting for outdoor and interior spacesDevelop arc flash hazard assessment models to define hazard boundaries, short circuit ratings, and overcurrent protection coordinationPerform duct bank modeling and cable ampacity analysisCreate wiring and elementary drawing to power distribution control and annunciation circuitsPerform generator studies and sizing, including controls and loading analysisCoordinate with civil and site designers for underground and overhead distribution equipment designCreate 3-line drawings for power distribution systemsPerform Load calculations and cable selections based upon application and design standardsObserve, assess, and document site installation systems and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirementsWrite progress reports and present them to project managers and clientsCollaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors on new construction and renovation projectsReview electrical design specifications and drawingsDesign low voltage electrical distribution systems, switchboards, motor control centers (MCCs), generators, transformers, and universal power supply (UPSs)Review construction cost estimates and budgetsWork on multiple projects simultaneouslyMake an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and teamWhat You’ll Bring:A passion for learning and growing engineering skills in medium and low voltage power distribution designExperience in medium voltage power design, easy power, load flow analysis, and electrical engineering drawings in a manufacturing environment (preferred)Familiarity with Rural Utility Standards (RUS), IEEE Standards, and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)Proficiency in AutoCAD, PowerTools SKM, ETAP, and EasyPower software systemsRevit software experience (preferred)Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively coordinate with engineers, architects, managers, clients, and contractorsExperience working on multi-disciplinary large capital projects (preferred)Familiarity with facilities document control systems (preferred)Experience reviewing and updating electrical system models (preferred)Familiarity with construction processes and documentsProficiency with written and verbal technical communication, including generating reports and conducting group presentationsA willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventionsA bachelor of science in electrical engineeringA professional engineer (PE) licenseOur culture and commitment to our people is what sets us apart.
