POSITION SUMMARY

Our Hotel Banquets team needs a leader. Must have at least two (2) years of relevant food service experience or comparative education, math skills, and effectively communicate in English.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESPlan, supervise, and coordinate the daily operations of assigned banquetsConsult with Banquet Manager or Executive Chef regarding serving arrangements, additional employees, and equipmentDevelop and implement hiring and training programs to ensure all positions are adequately staffed with trained personnelSupervise and assist with all operations which may include: setting tables, stocking service stations, taking orders from customers and serving, clearing and cleaning tables, setting up bars and other service stations as neededProvide superior service to all customers (internal and external) at all times.Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with guests and respond to all guests in a courteous and efficient mannerComplete daily billing of all banquet event orders and billingEnsure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirementsOther duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSPrevious banquet experience preferredMust have at least two years of relevant food service experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquiredBasic administrative, math, and supervisory skills and some previous supervisory experience preferredExperience working with a variety of commercial food service equipment preferredMust adhere to all safety policiesProblem-solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates, and co-workersBe a consistent role model for the company's Service Excellence standards

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust lift approximately 50 lbs.Must communicate clearly in the English languageMust be a minimum of 18 years of age
