DescriptionAbout the role:UKG is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to help develop best-in-class HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions. As part of the EPIC Engineering organization, you will be challenged, supported, celebrated, and inspired to reach your full potential as an early career professional. As a Software Engineer, you will contribute directly to the goals of our product teams and help innovate and evolve our processes and product portfolio to meet our customers' ever-changing needs. Come make an impact with the best and brightest technologists in the world!You will play a key role in the development of new software products and features with a keen eye for detail. You will have the opportunity to work side by side with other members of the engineering team (other Software Engineers, Test Engineers, and SREs) and members from UX and Product Management to build the best-in-class products in the market.Duties and Responsibilities:Quickly and efficiently find robust and effective solutions to difficult development problemsFollow development and deployment processes to deliver consistent value to our customersProvide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues that are escalated to the engineering teamCommunicate with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles to meet the team goalsDocument internal and external information for use by the team and customers*This position requires a hybrid in-office work arrangement with the ability to work 3 days per week in a UKG office (Branchburg – NJ)*QualificationsAbout you:Basic Qualifications:1-3 years hands-on development experience with full stack java-based web development: Java, SQL, React, HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, application servers and web serversUnderstanding of programming and testing concepts, design patterns, and best practices, and can translate that understanding directly to implementationsKnowledge and stays on the forefront of all development languages and frameworks utilized by our applications (Java, React, JavaScript, SQL, CSS etc.)Java skillsExperience with React and front end technologiesExperience with SQL Server and SQL QueriesTest-driven development experiencePreferred qualifications:Familiar with Agile development methodologiesBS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceEEO Statement
