PART-TIME CLAIMS INVESTIGATORS

that would like to join our team of professionals in our efforts to deter and combat insurance fraud. This is a work from home, part-time hourly position available in our rapidly expanding Special Investigations Unit. This work from home position requires travel within the designated city in the advertised city and state.VRC is seeking qualified candidates to conduct multi-line insurance investigations suspected of insurance fraud or other irregularities as requested by our clients by obtaining in-person interviews; identifying, collecting and preserving relevant evidence and documenting all findings into a clear, concise, and timely investigative report. SIU investigates auto, property, Workers’ Compensation, and liability claims of varying complexity in which specific indicators have been identified; and coordinates with law enforcement and/or the state fraud bureaus for regulatory compliance and criminal prosecutions.The successful candidate will have related experience in one or more of the following areas:Law EnforcementMilitary Police / CIDOther related investigative fieldsCore Duties & Responsibilities:Investigate multiple insurance lines of business for potential fraudConduct phone or in-person recorded statements with insureds, claimants, and witnessesProvide daily updates regarding current filesConduct scene investigationsMaintain and report investigative expensesComplete detailed and accurate investigative reportsApplicants must meet the following requirements:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze information, develop logical questions, and accurately report findingsProficiency in Microsoft Office programsA strong desire to learn and work as a teamOwn a Windows-based laptop not older than 3 yearsBe willing to travelPossess a valid driver’s license and provide MVRCurrent Private Investigator license may be required in some statesMust pass a drug test and pre-employment testingUpon hiring, paid formal training is provided at our corporate training academy. Training will be followed up by on-the-job and progressive, specialized training as needed.Benefits:VRC provides their investigators with necessary equipment and comparable pay to include drive time, above normal commute mileage reimbursement, company-paid licensing fees in most states, and allowance for non-reimbursed business expenses.
