About This Team:Responsible for managing all aspects of external financial reporting, researching and documenting the application of new accounting standards, overseeing coordination of annual audit and quarterly reviews, and conducting research on complex accounting transactions and documenting conclusions.
Job Description/Responsibilities:Manage preparation and coordination of monthly/quarterly/annual internal and external reporting packagesManage financial statement audit and coordinate with external audit teamsIdentify, research, and document the Company's technical accounting transactions; work proactively with external auditors to drive timely closure of technical accounting mattersServe as a subject matter expert on US GAAP and GAAP reporting requirementsConduct technical accounting research on complex transactions and new accounting pronouncementsPrepare and document accounting policy positions, procedures and control environment and communicate positions to the broader Finance and Accounting teamsEvaluate business transactions for proper U.S. GAAP accounting treatment, including accounting and disclosure recommendations and prepare technical memorandums for significant and/or non-routine transactionsAssist with financial due diligence and integration of M&A transactions as neededReview the accounting, monthly journal entries and reconciliations for stock-based compensation, goodwill, investments, and other non-routine transactions.Assist with month-end close and financial statement review.Ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting as required by managementRequired Experience/Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related fieldExcellent management skills and ability to build support across functions6+ years of working experience with at least 4+ years public accounting experienceThorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP, strong technical writing skills and experience in the implementation and handling of complex U.S. GAAP accounting matters with proven ability to research and clearly articulate and document complex technical accounting issuesAbility to set and keep deadlines at a fast pace while still maintaining high-quality workOutstanding organizational and project management skills with extensive experience managing multiple complex assignments simultaneouslyHigh level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary informationExceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
