Join us in creating a cleaner tomorrow, today.Summary:The Sr. Director Strategic Sourcing guides and leads the Category Management teams. Strong expertise in the Category Management market will be critical in tracking and reporting on factors that impact essential suppliers and clients. The Sr. Director of Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, identifying new suppliers, and ensuring efficient sourcing of goods and services within project budgets.Drive schedule-based accountability for all Strategic Sourcing activity, maintaining adherence to schedules.Align supplier and subcontractor offerings with essential project milestones.Utilize extensive global supplier relationships and Powin's pipeline to negotiate favorable pricing and terms with strategic suppliers.Lead and oversee the negotiation process with suppliers and subcontractors.Lead development and execution of Supplier sourcing strategies.Drive continuous reductions to ensure best-in-class market pricing while simultaneously improving supplier quality, delivery and safety.Conduct comprehensive research to identify new suppliers and stay updated on market trends, including commodity trends and major equipment supplier advancements.Exercise tight control over the department's operational budget.Analyze project performance data and variances to budget to monitor and enhance departmental productivity and overall effectiveness.Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Project Success, and other teams to implement streamlined systems, evaluate, and optimize business processes, and maintain effective controls and feedback mechanisms.Prepare and maintain reports essential for managing department responsibilities and provide periodic reports to track the achievement of strategic goals.Foster a safety culture, adhere to safety and security procedures, promptly report any potentially unsafe conditions, and ensure proper use of materials and equipment.Perform other responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from a college or university, or 10 years equivalent experience.Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or Finance preferred, but not required.Minimum of 10 years related Strategic Sourcing and Category Management experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility.Minimum of 5 years leading teams in development and execution of category sourcing strategies.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work cross functionally, including explaining designs and concepts to all levels of employees and management.Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing.Excellent time management skills, including multi-tasking, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, follow up and attention to details.Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Willingness and ability to travel to support vendors, suppliers, etc., up to 50% of the time.Able to work flexible hours to support international teams, as needed.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to speak Mandarin Chinese.
