We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.Organization Overview:The Global Supply Chain Excellence organization focuses on standardization of business processes by emphasizing on lean methodologies and master data management while interfacing with relevant key stakeholders including sites/networks, M&Q IT, and HR business partners.Role OverviewThe Associate Director Global Supply Chain – Transport serves as the business process owner for Lilly’s global warehousing processes. Responsibilities include defining and documenting global business processes, identifying and driving improvements, governing execution of the business processes, ensuring the tools and organization are capable, and supporting the capabilities in the organization through appropriate guidance and training.Responsibilities:This role is accountable for defining, maintaining, and sustaining the global Transport process, which includes:Defining and documenting the Transport business process stepsDesigning the process flow, key success measures, and interaction with other processesImplementing transformational or continuous improvement changes to the processBenchmarking the process amongst industry peersHanding over the process to global and local Transport teams in the businessTraining users on the business processStrategyDefine global business processes for Transport operations across all manufacturing networks (API, parenteral, and dry products)Develop a strategic vision for the business process in line with overall business objectivesMake recommendations for Transport process development and improvement on behalf of the stakeholdersMake decisions to align processes, organizational roles, and technologyProcess governance:Form a companywide strategic roadmap to improve Transport process maturityAlign strategic roadmap with key stakeholders across functions, hierarchy, and different parts of the businessTrain users on business processesProcess Design:Serve as an expert and key team member in major process Global Supply Chain design changesDocument and map the global business processCapture and analyze business requirements and translate these into standardized business processes, including definitions, templates, data sources, technology roadmap, and roles and responsibilitiesDevelopment of key output and KPI requirements that support the Transport processEnable process design through technology and analyticsMeasurement and Continuous Improvement:Track benefits and improvement into the businessChannel continuous improvement ideas and select suitable ones to turn into projectsEnsure the Transport review processes happen on timeBasic Requirements:BS or MS degree in Materials Management, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or related fieldAt least 5 years of manufacturing and/or supply chain experience with understanding of material flows, preferably in the pharmaceutical industryStrong Materials Movement business process knowledgeKnowledge of systems required to manage material transport internally, inter-company, and last mile (ERP; WMS; TMS)Additional Skills/Preferences:Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with technical and nontechnical audiencesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsGood problem-solving and influencing skillsAbility to analyze project needs and balance competing interests, and to determine the resources needed to meet objectivesUse of business process modeling techniques, such as contextual inquiry, business narratives, and value networking analysisProject management skills to manage overall transformation or continuous improvement projects across multiple geographiesAbility to identify modifications to business practices to take full advantage of technology innovationUse thought leadership to anticipate future needs and changes that might be requiredAble to identify the impact of initiatives on business results to drive prioritiesA certification in supply chain is desiredAdditional Information:Work shift: Full time, normal work shiftTravel required (% of time) –#J-18808-Ljbffr
