X-Ray Technologist/Radiologist

SIMEDHealth is currently looking for a Full Time X-Ray/Radiology Technologist to join our team in our Gainesville, FL location.A qualified candidate will have the following:Experience with Mammo/Dexa REQUIREDHigh School Diploma or equivalent REQUIREDCurrent CPR/BLS REQUIREDSuccessful completion of R.T. Certification (Radiologic Technologist) REQUIREDARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) license PREFERREDCurrent Florida Radiologic Technologist license REQUIREDMinimum 1 year experience as a general radiographer REQUIREDMinimum 2 years working experience in a hospital or medical office setting PREFERREDIntergy or similar EMR software system experience PREFERREDThe following is a basic list of duties and functions which may be required of you in your position:General Responsibilities:Shall be able to lift over fifty poundsUnderstand and follow Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and Biohazardous Waste ProtocolKeep work area neat and organizedAdheres to all SIMEDHealth policies and protocolsProvides help and assistance as needed to patients, providers, visitors, and other staffIs familiar with the use of Intergy Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Orchard LISShall maintain ethical working relationship with all personnel and protect the confidentiality of the patientShall perform marketing duties as needed to assist with developing diagnostic centerShall perform clerical duties as needed to assist with department productivityX- Ray:Shall be capable of assisting patients from a wheelchair or stretcher onto the x-ray table or be able to assist patient in positioning for an x-rayWill warm up x-ray equipment and processor for daily useWill change date stickers dailyWill change and monitor film badges monthly to ensure employee safetyWill perform general radiograph exams per physician or provider ordersWill assist medical providers with obtaining radiography reportsWill order and stock supplies for daily useWill perform quality assurance protocols consisting of:

Monthly collimator testing, yearly lead apron & glove testingCleaning cassettes monthly with screen cleanerCalculating monthly statistics and creating monthly reports

Collaborate with Division Manager to update policy and procedure manual related to radiography as neededMake sure room and equipment is in proper order for next day’s businessThis list of duties is for your assistance but is in no way the extent of what you are expected to do.
