WR has a potential opportunity for a Software Engineer to formulate and design software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.Position responsibilities:
will include, but are not limited to the following:Consult with customers to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.Consult with customers concerning maintenance of software systems.Formulate and design software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.Develop and direct software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Science, Engineering, or Mathematics that includes 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.Three (3)+ years of professional experience in C, C++, C#, Visual Basic and/or other object-oriented languages and general software engineering in the areas of computer program development and software architecture design and development.Professional experience using Linux.* This position is contingent upon funding *The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment third-party background check which may include verification of any of the following: Employment history; Education and/or certifications; Criminal history; Driving Records; Other records or information related to the candidate’s suitability for the position.WR is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and is committed to diversity in our workforce.
