This position requires a professional with a strong employment law and litigation background to represent and defend employers in employment-related claims. The ideal candidate will provide strategic advice, counsel, and effective legal representation while handling a diverse caseload.Duties and Responsibilities:Defend employers in lawsuits and administrative charges related to various employment claims.Provide expert legal advice and counsel to employers on all aspects of the employment relationship, including policies, procedures, and compliance with employment laws.Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, arbitration, and administrative hearings.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Prepare and present cases in court, including examining witnesses and making legal arguments.Develop and execute litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.Advise clients on risk management and employment practices to prevent litigation.Stay current with changes in employment law and relevant legal precedents.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.Minimum of 5+ years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for a background in employment law.Judicial clerkship experience may be considered instead of some litigation experience.Active admission to the Connecticut Bar or ability to obtain admission promptly.In-depth understanding of current court and employment-related agency procedures (both state and federal).Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality legal work.Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Professional demeanor committed to collegiality, teamwork, and the capacity to work independently.Location:
