Hybrid Newborn Screening Nurse Coordinator (Program Coordinator II)This is a hybrid remote position with The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA (TLI). TLI contracts with the California Department of Public Health to provide case management within our designated geographic area for newborns that require follow-up on the state mandated newborn screening blood test.Responsibilities:Provide case management for infants with positive and inadequate newborn screen results. Facilitate referrals for parents to physician offices, clinics, CCS Special Care Centers, or CCS-paneled specialists within our designated geographic area.Ensure follow-up through phone contact with physicians, hospital staff, and parents of necessary confirmatory testing for infants with actionable newborn screen results.Follow up and track verifications, inadequate screens, and early screens.Assist in identifying and locating infants not screened at birth and coordinating collection of newborn screens for such infants.Provide in-services and site visits to assigned facilities and midwives.Assist with development and implementation of quality assurance/improvement mechanisms for perinatal facilities and providers within our designated geographic area, as outlined in state regulations.Assist in the development and review of newborn screening educational materials for facilities, providers, and families.Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm with some on-call coverage on weekends and holidays.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.RN with at least 2 years of pediatric, maternal/child health, or neonatal experience.Active and valid registered nurse license in the state of California.Excellent communication skills.Excellent time management skills.Professional documentation, including electronic health records (e.g., State of California electronic records system).Ability to work as a member of a team.Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.Ability to interact in an appropriate and professional manner.Demonstrated cooperative behavior and positive problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.Available to work dependable, flexible shift.Salary:

$85,000 to $115,000
