Developer/Programmer - Senior
for our premier client in
Raleigh, North Carolina .
Education and Experience "Required Skills: (5+ years)
Experience as a PowerBuilder developer using PB10 or more recent versions.Strong SQL skills (HiCAMS uses a Sybase database but SQL skills in any database platform are acceptable).Strong Microsoft Suite experience, particularly Excel.Experience working in a remote software development environment.Strong analytical, conceptual, and technical skills.Positive interpersonal skills coupled with an independent, self-motivated work ethic.Ability to work with a custom base-class.Proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users.
Preferred Skills:
Development experience in C#.Development experience in Java.Experience coding stored procedures and triggers (any database).Experience developing in a Visual Studio environment.Data conversion experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:Job Responsibilities:
The initial assignments will be to code/test data windows to replace over 100 sample test result spreadsheet formats that were coded using an outdated 3rd party software tool.Additional work will involve coding/testing bug fixes and other functional enhancements to the system.This individual should have experience with standard development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, unit & system testing, quality assurance testing as well as experience with business process transformation.Design SharePoint and web-based solutions to support Preconstruction and Scoping business processes that are valuable to the transportation lifecycle
