Overview:

This position is responsible for handling both raw material and finished product, ensuring both meet acceptable criteria. Maintain accurate tracking and inventories of those materials. Ensure adequate raw material is always available to the production floor, coordinate trailer movement, and communicate with Transportation and Quality Assurance personnel to address any problems. Ensure finished product inventory is available for sales order fulfillment and shipping order fulfillment.Responsibilities:Process all incoming and outgoing loads of raw material and finished product. Accurately perform pallet counts and inspect pallets for damage in a timely manner. Immediately notify plant management of any problems or errors in a clear and effective manner. Complete sales order fulfillment and all other paperwork, as needed, to ensure product availability.Follow all procedures and safety practices to ensure quality of incoming and outbound products. Coordinate and assists Quality Assurance department in taking incoming quality measurements and sampling. As required, provide leadership as backup to supervisor.Will clearly communicate and direct sequenced instructions to multiple parties. Will drive a forklift to assist with the loading and unloading of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished product.Process bills of lading for all incoming and outgoing loads and ensure any material leaving the facility has the proper seals placed on trailer. Accurately maintain various spreadsheets and documents.Take accurate inventory of all inventory items and process orders in a timely manner. Use critical thinking skills appropriate for role.Direct and monitor production employees to ensure adequate coverage, communicate priorities and schedule changes as needed. Will train production employees and cover for breaks.Perform basic operational PMs and inspections on equipment used for material handling and inventory control.Responsible for smooth shift transitions and full communication of related items to ensure production is not interrupted. As required, provide stewardship and oversight of overall machine center upkeep and reliability.Coordinate and assist in all inbound and outbound dock activities which include receiving, unloading, induction, preparing sales orders, sales order staging, and loading shipments.Responsible for inspection of all raw material trailers which include, but not limited to, inspection of seals, record and monitor set points, and temperatures. Perform verifications confirming that trailer is from approved supplier list. Performance of core sampling test.Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Skills and AbilitiesBasic math skills.General computer knowledge and proficiency.Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.Demonstrated CompetenciesGood memory skills.Ability to think clearly, communicate, and direct sequenced instructions to multiple parties.Proven organization and management skills.Ability to be self-directed with a strong attention to detail.Ability to multitask.Must be able to collect, analyze, and interpret data from a wide variety of sources.Willing and able to ask questions about unfamiliar tasks.Ability to lead, train, and direct people effectively.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees in both written and verbal form.Must have regular and punctual attendance.Physical RequirementsThis position requires walking, standing, twisting, reaching, bending, climbing, and lifting.Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 60lbs.Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends.Experience:

Minimum of 1 year plant production experience or equivalent is preferred.Education:

High School diploma or equivalent, or verifiable ability to perform essential job functions.Department:
