The aim is to drive the expansion of AMPACT magnet wires in NAM. Establish a network at Tier 1 and OEM level to present the AMPACT offering to the technical, purchasing, and strategy community.

In collaboration with the European team, this role will mark the initiation of the customer-facing approach in the US, necessitating effective communication and the ability to convey the AMPACT value proposition for successful nomination and commercialization.

Initially, the role will encompass both market development and account management functions. Once local customer traction has been established, the function will be divided.

The business development manager will serve as the NAM representative for AMPACT in the market.

Responsibilities

Identify and cultivate leads and business opportunities for AMPACT with key automotive customers, with a primary focus on the passenger car and truck market, and potential expansion into the heavy-duty market.Gain a comprehensive understanding of the market dynamics and competitive landscape for AMPACT magnet wires. Collaborate with the global market development team to define the marketing plan, including target applications, customers, and communication strategy.Initiate commercial relationships and act as the primary point of contact for the purchasing organization. Manage customer requests for quotations by coordinating with the internal organization and utilizing various customer web portals.Assist in the development of a dedicated NAM business plan. Contribute to defining local requirements for the future NAM organization.Cultivate extensive networks and strong relationships within both Bekaert and the customer organization at all levels, including senior executives, to foster customer intimacy.Responsibilities include developing leads and business opportunities for AMPACT at key automotive customers, with a primary focus on the passenger car and truck market, and potential expansion into the heavy-duty market.

Map the competitive landscape, material options, and decision makers for the main accountsDefine a communication strategy for the region, drawing from lessons learned in EuropePrepare a comprehensive marketing plan covering Product, Place, Price, and Promotion.Establish connections with purchasing organizations and serve as the primary contact point. Coordinate with internal teams and utilize customer web portals to handle quotation requests effectively.Develop a network within customer purchasing organizations and ensure all necessary documentation and legal requirements are met to become an approved supplier.Take charge of the quotation process for North American customers. Collaborate with global resources to highlight Bekaert's risk and opportunity.Engage in discussions and finalize contracts, supply agreements, long-term agreements, and other related documents.Contribute to the creation of a specialized NAM business strategy. Assist in identifying the specific requirements of the local market for the future NAM structure.Assist in the formulation of a dedicated NAM business plan. Help in determining the specific needs of the local market in relation to the future NAM organization.Aid in the development of a focused NAM business plan. Assist in identifying the specific requirements of the local market for the future NAM structure.Establish connections with the global AMPACT team, the local BU team, and corporate resources in the automotive sector within Bekaert.Strive to develop a robust network within the customer organization, particularly with senior management.Collaborate with senior Bekaert management as necessary to advocate for the requirements of AMPACT.Qualifications and Requirements

Preferably possesses a minimum of a decade of experience in Marketing/Sales specifically within an automotive tier 1/2 sector or in a related role or industry. Prior commercial experience in the automotive field is essential.Proficient in articulating the AMPACT value proposition to the customer's technology and strategy departmentDisplays an automotive-oriented mindset, capable of identifying market trends and understanding global dynamics within the industryHas a long-term vision, strategic mindset, and is hands-on in executing plansExhibits an entrepreneurial mindset to successfully launch a new product in an unfamiliar marketCapable of working autonomously, while having access to support and resources worldwideExcellent communication abilitiesStrong interpersonal skills and adept at establishing a professional network within Bekaert and with customersA team player who is an attentive listener, enthusiastic, supportive in a dynamic environment, and assertive when necessary.Be bold and take the leap!
