Job descriptionThe UI Architect will lead architecture and design of modern mobile and responsive front-end user interfaces . This role will be responsible for,or assist in the creation and maintenance of current and future state system documentation, technology selection strategies, technical roadmaps, and enterprise standards as they relate to the user experience and customer facing systems. They will work with UX designers, UI engineers, and with senior leadership to create the building blocks for our native apps as well as responsive portals. This role requires excellent interpersonal communication and group presentation skills and will be used as a mentor to transition new ideas and technologies into the organization.ResponsibilitiesDrive innovation and influence future applications and productsSupport enterprise modernization effortsWork with architecture and application teams to promote innovation and standardizationProvide architectural leadership across projectsBuild UI interfaces using cutting edge technologies.Collaborate with engineers across the Digital Innovation team to iterate on the design and implementation of our productWork in an iterative manner that fits well with the development practices and pace within the teamDemo your work for colleagues and members of the business teamConduct research and prototype new technologies that help to progress our products and platformsBuild efficient and reusable front-end systems, frameworks and abstractionsDebug and address UI performance issuesIdentify and communicate front-end best practicesQualificationsHighly Preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology or business information systems or related fieldAdvanced knowledge of JavaScript, specifically ES6 and associated languages like ElmExperience in Design Patterns.End to End developing and shipping mobile applications with open source technologies.Experience with modern web frameworks such as node.js, React.js, Redux, Webpack, Babel, GulpExperience in React Native and related technologies for shipping mobile applications.Commanding grasp of HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies like SASSExperience shipping mobile applications to the mobile application stores.Ability to work in areas outside of their usual comfort zone and get things done.Demonstrated design and UX sensibilitiesExperience working with RESTful APIsDeep integration experience at UI layerExperience working on a cloud platform using Agile team practicesPreferred
Experience developing code across a full application stackMinimum three years relevant experience with advanced coding skillsExperience designing and developing large distributed, mobile, or responsive webExperience working in a team-based, agile development environmentGithub profile with submissions to open source projectsMinimum Qualifications
