Summary

Responsible for control of finished and raw production, non-production, chemicals, explosives, safety supplies, durable tooling, test equipment, development materials, maintenance, repair and operating supplies that require movement between non-adjacent departments within FM&T and local city pickups and/or deliveries.Duties and Responsibilities

Receives, records, stocks, weighs, counts, secures production and non-production material in bonded stockrooms within FM&T and local city site(s). Prepares, records and issues stockroom materials.Prepares and packages material to be shipped, including interior/exterior marking with labels or stencil and applies material protection as required.Prepares material and transportation vehicles to include hazardous, controlled, and classified.Loads and unloads transportation vehicles as required (except where special handling equipment and/or rigging is involved). Equipment use includes hand tools, overhead crane, counting scales, computers, bar code scanners, printers, boxmaker, bag sealers, power saws and various material handling aides.Maintains inventory databases.Required to mark tools and label product and parts to support current FM&T requirements.Performs assignments in accordance with applicable engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions and other written and verbal directions.Completes paperwork and computer data entries as required by the task.Responsible for complying with applicable provisions of Article 18. Health, Safety, and Environment of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.Verifies loads for accuracy and delivers them as instructed.Communicates and coordinates with dispatchers.Plans routes and meets delivery schedules.Secures cargo and properly arranges and balances it within the vehicle.Prepares and secures loads for transportation in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.Prepares Bills of Lading and placarding as required by applicable regulations.Complies with truck driving rules and regulations.Performs daily maintenance of vehicles (refueling, cleaning, etc.).Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, prepares reports.You Must Have

Able to operate passenger car, van and/or trucks safely while obeying applicable highway laws, city ordinances and safety regulations to prevent injury to persons, property and material.Required to gain and maintain a CDL-Class A drivers license with Hazmat endorsement.US citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain required US Dept of Energy “Q” level security clearance.Additional Information
