Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and sponsoring short and long- term product management plans. Key responsibilities include conducting market research and competitor analyses, determining product pricing, developing short and long-term strategies, and identifying innovative opportunities to modernize product offerings and deliver a more unified customer. Job expectations include leading the management and development of products and ensuring that product management efforts are integrated with sales, marketing, operations, implementation, and customer service strategies.

Small Business Lending is a company-critical business with tremendous growth opportunity. This senior-level role is responsible for advancing the short and long-term strategic plan for Small Business Lines and Loans. In doing so, this person will lead a team of senior professionals to develop and execute multi-generational product and loan growth strategies to sustain and build upon the bank's position as one of the top Small Business Lenders in the industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Owns a set of products and corresponding financials, including managing the investment profile and profit and loss (P&L) activities, such as revenue and profit margins
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to obtain meaningful insights about markets, clients, and competitors in order to develop products that solve client needs and ensure high adoption rates
  • Develops long and short-term product strategy, driving products to provide comprehensive solutions across the bank
  • Leads a team responsible for identification of plans for product development, supporting the creation of sales training programs, and marketing materials to educate clients and internal teams on product capabilities
  • Instills a culture of continuous improvement and effective risk management
  • Lead team to innovate and develop loan product strategies to drive responsible growth and build market share
  • Accountable for ensuring the bank's Small Business product continuum and suite of financial solutions are competitive and relevant to our clients
  • Partner with Pricing and Finance partners to ensure products provide a "fair value exchange" in a highly dynamic economic environment
  • Partner with Channel, Credit, and Risk partners to maximize the small business credit-buy box across each product offer considering client profile, relationship, and industry
  • Support portfolio insight analytics to identify cross-product and cross-functional strategies that will simplify client-centric engagement and relationship deepening

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience with business credit products
  • 5+ years of financial and/or credit strategies experience
  • Proven ability to problem solve and communicate effectively with impact at all levels
  • Superior partnership skills with proven ability to lead and influence in a team-based environment
  • Superior organizational and managerial skills with demonstrated success promoting associate development and satisfaction
  • Ability to handle and lead multiple priorities with very acute attention to detail
  • Results-oriented with proven track record of establishing accountability
  • Working knowledge of commercial credit underwriting processes and standards
  • Strong understanding of P&L drivers and credit risk
  • Familiar with contract law, credit policy, and industry regulations
