Are you ready to go beyond?What You Will Do:The Model Based Design Principal Engineer, GATORWORKS 6th Gen Digital Transformation will play a key role in advancing the Program’s capability by executing the Digital for 6th Gen (D6G) Roadmap to mature new digital solutions that reimagine our core business processes.To accomplish these goals, we are building an Agile, Empowered, and High performing cross functional team to demonstrate multiple model-based capabilities on a program to further digitize development. The MB-Design Engineer will work alongside various Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the requirements phase through design to manufacturing and inspection to validation.As the Capability Demonstration Model Based Design Engineer, you will be a key member in an Agile team implementing our digital future state alongside P&Ws best engineers.Key Job Responsibilities

:Identify Model Based Design and Analysis requirements to implement digital thread between Model Based Engineering (MBE) disciplines.Perform FEA to validate the structural, thermal, or aerodynamic performance of components and systems.Pre-process design data to prepare FEA jobs to High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters and manage job execution.Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key findings and potential improvements.Collaborate with design and CIPT to provide insights and recommendations based on analysis results.Work on integrations between PLM and CAD platforms and other enterprise systems to enable end-to-end data connectivity across the Digital Enterprise.Work in an Agile Cross-functional environment to deliver on sprint and increment commitments.Qualifications You Must Have:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 8+ years’ experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries, or an advanced degree with 5+ years’ experience.Ability to travel to domestic and international sites up to 50%.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills.Demonstrated experience working with Teamcenter NX for model preparation and integration with FEA tools.Experience managing and using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Simulation Lifecycle Management platforms.High Level Proficiency using FEA software for Aero/Thermal/Structural such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar.Familiarity with pre-processing design data, submitting FEA jobs to HPC clusters, and post-processing results.Prior experience with Multidisciplinary Design Analysis and Optimization (MDAO) is a plus.Experience in CAD interoperable file formats (STEP 242, QIF, JT).Previous CIPT, IPT or Systems integration experience.Experience leading continuous improvement processes and Agile program structures.Learn More & Apply Now!This role is:
