CBS News Colorado is looking for a dedicated video editor and news writer to work alongside newscast producers to deliver relevant, urgent, and community-serving news content! This person must thrive in a fast-paced television news environment.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Write and edit news scripts for broadcast and stream productionsVideo editing of content for news broadcasts using Avid systems preferredCandidate must be adaptable with work scheduleRelated college degree and/or equivalentAt least 2 years experience in television newsProficient in non-linear editingKeen eye for detail including, spelling, fact-checking, balance, and fairnessAbility to respond rapidly and optimally to breaking newsADDITIONAL INFORMATIONHiring Salary Range: $49,920.00 - 58,240.00.The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
