What's the role?

At Bloomberg Finance we are committed to providing world-class support to our business partners by providing insight on business performance, financial oversight and thought leadership.

We are currently seeking a Finance Specialist supporting the Enterprise Risk Solutions and Enterprise Product Platform & Risk Services businesses. The Bloomberg Enterprise Risk Solutions business enables both Buyside and Sellside firms to effectively operate their risk management processes through a comprehensive suite of risk management tools via Bloomberg's Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS). Conversely, the Enterprise Product Platform & Risk Services businesses serve as the source of Enterprise infrastructure and risk analytics for the Terminal and other Bloomberg products.

As a leading member of this team, you will have the opportunity to deliver a unique blend of financial and operational analysis, financial modeling, and reporting and senior management support in a fast-paced and cutting-edge business.

We'll trust you to:

  • Lead the financial reporting, analysis, and planning process for the Enterprise Product Platform & Risk Services businesses
  • Create and develop detailed financial models and analysis to support various strategic initiatives including market analysis and customer segmentation, product launches, and long term financial growth plans
  • Partner with senior leaders across multiple departments in developing and refining pricing models for a diverse set of products and clients
  • Establish and develop key business relationships with other teams including Product, Sales, Engineering, other CFO teams and business operations teams
  • Assist in the preparation of the financial forecasts/targets for the annual operating plans along with monitoring historical revenue and expense trends
  • Provide executive level communication (both written and oral) to business heads and product managers on the financial results, performance vs. targets, and insights on key variances on a regular basis
  • Coordinate reporting of the product, sales, and overall business strategies to the management committee
  • Participate, on an ongoing basis, in special project requests directly from the Management Committee and Senior Management
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of existing processes, and propose improvements to streamline the collection, use, and presentation of data
  • Ensure that information is developed and delivered on a timely basis
  • Supervise and develop staff via dotted line reporting


You'll need to have:

  • 7+ years of financial experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related fields
  • Experience partnering with senior business partners to assist in decision making
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data, while succinctly summarizing conclusions for management
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks are required
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Superior Microsoft Excel skills (VBA a plus)
  • Team player with ability to deal with changing priorities


We'd love to see:

  • Experience in financial services or a financial data provider industry a strong plus
  • Flexibility to work in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment
  • High curiosity level and desire to learn
  • Familiarity with the Bloomberg terminal is useful, but not required
  • Experience with Enterprise software applications e.g., SAP
  • Experience with data visualization applications, e.g., Tableau or Qlik

Salary Range: 155,000 - 205,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
