Position Summary: Responsible for implementing and delivering total rewards strategy for multi-national company focusing on aligning employee incentives and benefits around things that matter. Role will have direct responsibility and oversight for payroll, benefits, compensation and wellness programs that will allow us to offer competitive, quality total rewards to attract and retain top talent. This position will also provide key oversight and day to day administration of the payroll, benefits, compensation and wellness areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and tactical accountability for company total rewards program including compensation, benefits, payroll, and wellness initiatives
  • Conducts strategic planning and project execution regarding updates on existing benefit and payroll plan administration including new technology functionality to improve accuracy and efficiency of the function
  • Lead a team responsible to prepare and process full-cycle, weekly, multi-state and multi-country payroll while maintaining payroll compliance at all regulatory levels including proper withholding and garnishment notices.
  • Work closely with functional departments and finance regarding proper calculation and reconciliation of incentive payments including commissions, overtime, bonuses, etc.
  • Develop year-round communication and education programs include feedback mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of the total rewards program.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process as well as year-round efforts targeted at wellness and total rewards education.
  • Proactively manage self-insurance programs through innovative wellness efforts, practical cost sharing programs, and leveraging outside resources to mitigate employer cost while maximizing employee engagement, usage and overall wellbeing.
  • Ensure full compliance across all plans with applicable federal, state and local regulations concerning employer-sponsored benefits. Responsible for all benefit program documentation; ensuring notices are updated and distributed timely. Manage the non-discrimination testing, Form 5500s, ACA reporting, plan audits and all plan related compliance and filings.
  • Partner with the CHRO and company HR leaders to establish the annual benefit strategy and plan designs, ensuring programs are competitive, cost effective and will attract and retain talent.
  • Manage process and register for state and local payroll tax jurisdictions in partnership with Finance Tax Team.
  • Responsible for preparation of W-2/government forms and year-end reporting for all employees and segments.
  • Create robust process by which employees can seek answers to common questions around payroll, benefits, compensation, and wellness.
  • Evaluate third-party partners to ensure cost effective delivery of programs such as COBRA, WOTC, etc.
  • Manages the development, implementation, and administration of compensation program and the associated annual salary planning process.
  • Lead efforts to establish holistic incentive programs that align performance to rewards.
  • Responsible for establishing the compensation analysis process, including job analysis, internal and external equity reviews. Conducts annual benchmarking of compensation ranges and recommends changes.
  • Lead report out of all programs performance including financial analysis.


Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience administering multi-state payroll and managing benefits processes
  • 5+ years experience in team leadership and management of teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of benefit and employment laws (ERISA, Section 125, FMLA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Experience leading open enrollment efforts at enterprise level specifically for a self-insured organization.
  • Experience leading large enterprise-level compensation programs.
  • Experience with 401(k) plan administration.
  • Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without "dropping the ball".
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a "roll up your sleeves" and "today not tomorrow" mentality.
  • Apply active listening skills through the ability to comprehend information presented and respond thoughtfully.
  • Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand, no matter how minute, by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for communicating with internal and external parties in a manner that is both articulate and professional.
  • Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection.
  • Ability to provide timely and empathetic help through in-person, phone, email, and social media avenues that keeps the co-worker or customer's needs at the forefront of every interaction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, to recognize, understand, and manage one's own emotions as well as others, and foster positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Holding oneself responsible and being self-driven in accomplishing business goals, adhering to policies and being responsible for one's own actions, performance, and decisions.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

  • Indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
