We are actively seeking an experienced Logistics Manager who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The AFLCMC Propulsion Directorate, AFLCMC/LP, has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility for developing, acquiring, testing, fielding, sustaining, and modernizing leading edge propulsion systems through the life cycle management for the United States (US) warfighter and international partners.

We are actively seeking an experienced Logistics Manager who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The AFLCMC Propulsion Directorate, AFLCMC/LP, has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility for developing, acquiring, testing, fielding, sustaining, and modernizing leading edge propulsion systems through the life cycle management for the United States (US) warfighter and international partners.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
- Perform analytical and logistic studies in support of propulsion system life cycle sustainment.
- Assist in managing acquisition programs for whole engine repair and/or modification.
- Assist in development of PWS documentation; assist with development of schedules, budgets, and briefings; author and coordinate required documentation.
- Establish program initiatives for improved supply supportability, technology insertion, Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) development, and identification and/or mitigation of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Manufacturing Sources (DMSMS)/obsolescence.
- Develop, coordinate, and monitor IPS metrics and documentation/efforts.
- Analyze, research, plan, and support efforts integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance required for lifecycle support of various engine programs.
- Apply logistics experience to analyze, develop, and evaluate program/admin support, requirements, or resources to develop recommendations to resolve problems & issues of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations.
- Perform work assignments in a timely manner, assuring a quality of work that meets the needs of the organization.
- Make reasonable recommendations or decisions based on available guidance, taking care to verify relevancy, adequacy, sustainability, attainability, accuracy, & completeness of information and recommendations-may require adaptation and/or interpretation for application to issues and problems.
- Thoroughly and accurately research issues in a timely manner, using available reference sources (e.g., manuals or applicable law or regulation).
- Assess modernization improvements through technology insertion and/or hardware incorporation.
- Utilize various systems and information, including but not limited to the Comprehensive Engine Management System (CEMS), D035, Logistics Installations and Mission Support - Enterprise View (LIMS-EV), Joint Deficiency Reporting Systems (JDRS), and technical data.
- Remain proficient with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
- Support Cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance objectives.
- Accomplish program objectives for development, production, and sustainment to meet user's operational needs.
- Maintain traceability and integration between program plans and requirements.
- Coordinate with appropriate offices/individuals to ensure all major areas of concern are covered by appropriate documentation.
- Select appropriate work methods for development of work products, the products do not require substantive revisions.
- Analyze and evaluate program initiatives to improve reliability/ maintainability/ availability/ affordability.
- Analyze planning and programming documents to determine the nature and scope of acquisition efforts.
Education, Requirements and Qualifications
- Clearance: Secret or ability to obtain a Secret
- Master's degree and ten (10) years relevant experience OR
- BA/BS degree and twelve (12) years relevant experience OR
- Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- May be required to lift 15 lbs.
- May be required to stand and/or walk two (2) hours a day
- Some travel may be required
