SUMMARY:

The Chief Carrier Relations Officer (CCRO) will Develop and execute a strategic plan to maximize revenue growth through carrier relationships and commission structures that are aligned with regional business strategy and local market opportunities. The CCRO will be an integral member of the Hub's Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the President of the Region. This position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity within an innovative and expanding domestic and global organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maximizes revenue opportunities by establishing effective carrier commission agreements and relationships within region.
  • Responsible for contingent commission budget and revenue growth through development of enhanced commission arrangements for region.
  • Creates, manages, and enhances carrier relationships.
  • Responsible for placements and leading a team that markets and places business for Producers in MSO
  • Evaluates carriers and creates enhanced commission arrangements with select carriers that best fit to support Hub's business strategy and customer's needs.
  • Collaborates with Chief Sales Officers to understand local/regional customer segments and growth opportunities.
  • Identifies new product opportunities offered by carriers for further business development.
  • Center of Excellence for educating Producers on market.
  • Monitors carrier performance and alerts Sales team of carrier performance.
  • Implements Hub International CCRO best practices and other corporate marketing Initiatives.
  • Provides marketing approach to introduce products and carrier product enhancements to the customer marketplace.
  • Evaluates carrier agreements as part of the acquisitions and merger due diligence process and determines and gaps, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develops acquisition integration strategy to create favorable commission arrangements with key markets.
  • Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
  • Primary contact for regional carrier relationship as related to commission structures.
  • Individual may perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry property and casualty, risk management, life and health insurance and bank related insurance products in a senior production or leadership role
  • Direct experience working with Carriers and their representatives.
  • Significant industry knowledge required.
  • Exceptional project management skills (ability to establish, develop, implement and execute marketing plans)
  • Ability to interface and work collaboratively with colleagues and management at various levels within an organization.
  • Strong ability to influence, create demand and negotiate with internal and external clients
  • Ability to think strategically and "out-of-the-box, " while not being afraid to question and constructively challenge.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure without comprising quality or service - successful experience managing demanding deadlines, changing requirements, and working with limited resources and information.
  • Works effectively as a leader with all levels of the organization.
  • Keeps commitments, keeps other informed of work progress, timetables and issues, addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office tools, including excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be knowledgeable of industry standards and regulations and maintain all required industry licenses.


EDUCATION, LICENSING OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree
