This role resides within the Corporate Accounting team and reports to the Director of SEC Reporting. This role will play an integral part in the preparation of the Company's various filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Company's quarterly earnings releases. The role will have significant visibility to the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer and other senior members of the accounting, finance, and business community.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Prepare and draft sections of the 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC filings, including financial statements, financial statement footnotes and MD&A, in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Collaborate with other functional groups and obtain the necessary information to draft appropriate descriptions and wording for footnotes and other disclosures in the 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC filings.
  • Assist in addressing questions/concerns raised by the Company's external auditors.
  • Participate in the preparation of quarterly earnings releases, scripts for quarterly earnings calls, investor presentations, and other documents filed with the SEC or other regulatory agencies.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and research of accounting literature, as requested by management, including participating as a key contributor on projects to implement new FASB accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations.
  • Complete SEC/GAAP disclosure checklists, review and tag financial information in the XBRL format required for SEC filings.
  • Assist with the calculation of basic and diluted earnings per share.
  • Assist in the compilation of consolidated balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flows, and other financial reports and schedules.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the quarterly and annual close process and develop suggested process improvements.
  • Serve as control owner for key period end controls in terms of reconciliations, financial statement schedules, etc. thereby ensuring complete and accurate representation of financial statements and making supporting documents ready for review.
  • Other duties as assigned


This role can be performed remotely from either Charlotte, NC, Hartsville, SC and Atlanta, GA

We would like to hear from you if:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • CPA license or candidate is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in public accounting firm, and/or within a medium to large company's consolidation/reporting team. SEC experience is a plus.
  • High degree of proficiency with excel and other Microsoft Office products with ability to retrieve data, manipulate such data and create useful analytical information.
  • High level understanding of consolidation tools (OneStream, HFM) or ERP systems (Oracle Finance, JDE, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with Wdesk (SEC Reporting platform) is a plus.
  • Strong writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to adjust and work effectively in a dynamic, changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Very good multitasking skills.
