Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced

Business Development Executive

to partner with the

EV and Microgrid Group

and market leaders in developing and supporting positioning strategies with current and prospective

EV Charging and Microgrid

customers to win project work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary as you will be interacting with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Lead the positioning activities of the business development teamParticipate in strategic business planning; developing strategic positioning plan for company and project pursuits to win workCreate and produce internal and external communications, marketing/branding/advertising materials and presentations.Coordinate prequalification efforts with targeted customers and partnersInitiate customer feedback on proposals and presentationsFunction as the liaison between business development, pre-construction, and marketingProvide insight into market sectors; perform market trends analysisEstablish and nurture strategic business partnerships and customer relationships

Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential partners including, but not limited to: targeted customers, design professionals, partner companies, community leaders, utilities, equipment manufacturers, and engineering firmsIdentify new market sector opportunities and potential future customers and convert them to contacts for market sector leadersBecome familiar with customer's project estimates to facilitate discussion with customerComplete Request for Proposals with 100% accuracy and compliance with the owner's specificationsPlay an integral role with the development team

Take work direction, utilize training, and complete performance reviewsUse the appropriate level of forethought and planning in decision-making to assure project successQualifications:

Customer relationship building skills, with developed local/regional business knowledge and relationships.Confirmed knowledge and execution of successful marketing strategiesAdvanced knowledge of North American EV + microgrid infrastructure market and the participants, specifically transportation organizations, developers, , and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)Proficient in construction law and generally accepted business practicesAdvanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) delivery methods, specifically EV and microgrid design, equipment, and constructionAbility to visit projects sites and/or review RFP requirements independently and communicate requirements, risks, and strategy to successfully win and execute the workDetail orientation sufficient for data entry, reporting, financial projections for sales and selections, and market analysisMicrosoft Office, project and pertinent CRM web application skills at an advanced levelPositive professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesMinimum 10 years prior industry-related energy, transportation, and/or commercial building experienceCurrent driver's licenseTravel of up to 30% of time may be necessary to fulfill the objectives of the position.Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
