Software Infrastructure Engineer

An efficient and well-tooled engineering team is crucial to a successful quantitative trading firm, and as a member of PDT's Software Infra team you'll design and build our next generation software development platform, ensuring our engineering team has access to best-in-class tools and you'll act as a force multiplier to all engineers within PDT.
As a SI engineer, you'll:Cultivate an understanding of our developers and build relationships across all of engineering.Design a developer experience that finds the sweet spot between developer and platform velocity.Identify gaps in our ecosystem and coordinate across the Platform organization to solve user needs.Build and maintain developer tools, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD leveraging open-source and third party software.Why join us? Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience establishing and advocating engineering best practices across diverse engineering teamsSignificant experience programming in one or more of Python, Golang, or C++Ability to collaborate with a larger team on design innovationsKeen debugging, problem-solving, and optimization skillsPragmatic and mature approach to technology
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science
The salary range for this role is between $160,000 and $200,000. This range is not inclusive of any potential bonus amounts. Factors that may impact the agreed upon salary within the range for a particular candidate include years of experience, level of education obtained, skill set, and other external factors.
