Tesla is seeking a curious, engaging, and driven Collision Technical Training Instructor to join the Collision Learning & Development (L&D) team. You will teach collision instructor led courses to collision center teammates. Course topics will include mechanical, electrical, trim, structural, cosmetic, welding, and bonding and riveting applications.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging collision instructor-led training on mechanical systems, aluminum and steel welding, aluminum and steel structural repair, and paint-less dent repairTrain and develop Collision Technicians on inspection, repair, and service of Tesla vehicles. Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehiclesEnsure that programs and processes are developed, assessed, communicated, and administered in compliance with Tesla's objectivesAssist with the operations that include inventory, vehicles, room setup, service center contacts, phone calls, scheduling, tool and equipment maintenance, and student data trackingEffectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet project deadlinesComply with all Tesla safety rules, guidelines, and standards. Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools. Must be able to work independently in limited supervision environmentsComply with all Tesla safety rules guidelines and standards. Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operationsRequirements
5+ years of collision industry experience, training experience preferredCertificate from vocational school in Collision Repair preferredAdvanced aluminum and steel joining experience - welding, riveting, and bondingProven ability in structuring demonstrations and instruction sessionsProficient in use of dedicated and universal frame equipmentHigh level of proficiency in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Maintain and perform top level professional integrity and appearance as a Collision Repair Program TrainerValid driver's license preferred
