How Youll Make an Impact Support theSiemens Energy Industrial Application steam turbine technical servicesbusiness with creating inspection plans, reviewing findings, developingrepair plans, supporting shop repairs, and writing reports for existingequipment. Update fleetrecords to reflect steam turbine and valve configurations. Support thetechnical services case queues by reviewing fleet data and answeringquestions asked by internal and external customers. Providetechnical support and leadership for root cause investigations. Provideinspection and repair quote support to the marketing organization. Providetechnical instructions to manufacturing, supply chain management, or fieldservice for disposition of product deviations. Lead and/orsupport steam turbine R&D projects by performing calculations,ensuring drawings are issued to required dates, and completing taskswithin allocated budgets. Providemark-ups and information to direct drafting personnel so that they maycorrectly revise existing engineering drawings and/or create newengineering drawings. Review, modify, and sign-off engineering drawings. Providetechnical instructions to the field in support of turbine installation ortroubleshooting activities. Learn fromothers in the organization and teach others in the organization what youknow. Supportbusiness cost reduction and process improvement initiatives. What You Bring Bachelor ofScience in Engineering required. Mechanical field preferred. 3 years ofrelevant experience required, with at least 1 year of technicalengineering experience with rotating equipment. Fundamental understandingof mechanical engineering principles required; Candidates withmore years of experience may be considered for a higher- level position. Problem-solvingmentality and the ability to collaborate with internal and externalbusiness partners to create solutions. Rotatingequipment product knowledge and familiarity with the product design. Knowledge ofroot cause analysis and the process, and curiosity about creatingcustomer-focused solutions. Approximately25% travel, both domestic and international with ability to obtain a passport. Occasional workduring off-hours and weekends is required to support 24/7 operations. Must be willingto relocate if not in commuting distance of Trenton, NJ, Olean, NY, orHouston, TX Applicants must be legallyauthorized for employment in the United States without need for current orfuture employer-sponsored work authorization .Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible forinternal transfers. Additional Preferred Skills: Rotating equipment designexperience, preferably of steam turbines. Thebase salary range for this position if based in New York is $74,000-$150,000 and the annual incentive target is 10% incentive of basesalary. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such asexperience, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
