This includes ensuring the team adheres to sound principles of data engineering within their technical domain, applying consistency to technical solutions, embracing and sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a Statisticians-related occupation.Position required skills: Position requires experience in the following skillsets: Utilizing tools and technologies, including operating systems such as Unix, Linux, and Windows 10; Utilizing hardware, including AWS Infrastructure; Utilizing software and special tools, including Universal Data loader (UDL), Tableau, Python ad-hoc utilities for automated data validations, and Snowflake; Utilizing programming languages, including Python, Spark, Snow SQL, AWS S3 policies, Kafka, UNIX scripts, Maestro jobs and schedules; Utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud-based technologies to support data engineering work in the cloud; Working with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools and technologies, including Ab Initio, Python, EMR, and Spark development; Performing enterprise data governance, metadata management, data architecture, and master data management activities; Utilizing database technologies, including Snowflake, Redshift, and Teradata environments; Scheduling jobs using IBM Scheduler, Control-M cloud-based scheduling, or event driven processes; Working with complex processes and providing innovative solutions to delivery pipelines; Performing UNIX shell scripting; and Utilizing platforms, including Open Shift, Kubernetes, and Docker.Position eligible for incentives under Employee Referral Program Rate of Pay: The base pay for this position generally ranges between $138,715 to $175,600. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.  Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
