What you'll doDocusign is looking for a self-motivated AI SaaS Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and governance of AI solutions within our SaaS ecosystem. This role will include managing the GenAI features of essential SaaS applications, ensuring compliance with vendor management and SaaS policies, and collaborating with business stakeholders to enhance the value of AI capabilities in their SaaS portfolios. You will be a part of our Cloud Applications team, which oversees the overall service ownership and strategy of our SaaS offerings.This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager of Cloud Apps.ResponsibilityLead the design, development, and deployment of AI features within our SaaS applications, using the latest GenAI technologiesManage and optimize the GenAI capabilities of critical SaaS applications, ensuring compliance with vendor management and SaaS policiesImplement vendor management policies and maintain strong relationships with external AI and SaaS vendorsWork closely with business partners to find opportunities and maximize the value delivery of AI capabilities within their SaaS portfoliosContribute to the overall AI strategy and direction of SaaS service ownership within the Cloud Applications teamImplement monitoring tools and practices to track the performance and impact of AI features, ensuring seamless operationAddress and resolve issues related to AI functionalities in a timely mannerMaintain comprehensive documentation of AI processes, configurations, and updatesStay updated with the latest AI and SaaS trends and technologies, recommending and integrating new solutionsChampion a security-first approach to AI development, configuration, and rollout

Job DesignationHybrid:

Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bringBasic5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree; or 3+ years of related experience with a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related degree3+ years of experience in software engineering or development with a strong focus on AI/ML applicationsExperience designing, implementing, and optimizing AI/ML solutions in a SaaS environmentExperience with GenAI technologies and their applications in SaaS productsExperience with and understanding of SaaS architectures and platformsExperience with one of the programming/scripting languages, such as Python, Java, etc.Experience using REST APIs to integrate standalone SaaS applications into a broad architecture landscapeExperience with Scrum, Agile and continuous integration and continuous deployment practicesPreferredExperience with AI/ML frameworks and librariesExperience with compliance and security standards related to AI and SaaS applicationsExperience with monitoring and logging tools for AI/ML modelsDemonstrated ability to drive innovation and integrate cutting-edge AI technologies into existing SaaS solutionsCertification in AI, cloud computing, or related fieldsExperience building custom APIs and RESTful servicesProven experience with common cloud infrastructure platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCPAbility to learn and adapt to new AI and SaaS technologies and methodologiesCommunicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams for different projectsStrong teammate willing to take responsibility, accountability and ownershipProject management experience handling projects and org wide application updates

Wage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $114,200.00 - $177,100.00 base salaryWashington and New York (including NYC metro area): $109,600.00 - $156,950.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for bonus and
