Join us for a rewarding career in the aviation industry!Job DescriptionOur Director of Station Operations is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of airport station operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and customer-focused service delivery. This role involves coordinating with airlines, airport authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of passenger and cargo services, including check-in, boarding, baggage handling, ground support, and fueling in the applicable locations. You will be tasked with implementing operational strategies and processes to optimize resource utilization, improve turnaround times, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Additionally, you are responsible for staff management, training, and development, as well as ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the airport environment.WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A DIRECTOR OF STATION OPERATIONSYou like working as a team, toward a common goalEnjoy working with employees and state agenciesOversee all aspects of station operations including passenger services, baggage handling, and ground supportDevelop and implement operational strategies to ensure efficient and safe airport station functioningManage and lead a diverse team of operational staff, setting goals and evaluating performanceCoordinate with airline partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders for smooth operationsEnsure compliance with all aviation regulations and safety standardsMonitor operational processes and implement improvements for increased efficiencyOversee budgeting and resource allocation for station operationsImplement training programs to enhance staff skills and ensure high service standardsRespond to and manage any operational emergencies or disruptionsAnalyze data and reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvementFoster a customer-focused culture, ensuring a positive experience for passengersYou have very strong customer service skillsYou have a great attention to detailWilling to go that extra mileYou enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasksLike to build long term relationships with your customersPhysical activity may include:Stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to lift 70 pounds or moreBe able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environmentClose vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)QualificationsMinimum age of 18 years oldAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents10 Years of Transportation Operations ExperienceKnowledge of the Aviation IndustryComfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tabletsAbility to pass a drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
