The qualified incumbent must be able to teach the following courses:Art & Music Lecture Pool:MUS 107 (3 credits) Music in World CulturesART 101 (3 credits) Introduction to the Visual ArtsART 113 (3 credits) Introduction to DrawingART 239 (1 credit) Hawaiian QuiltingWe are seeking instructors who are interested in engaging with international students in activities that contribute to their educational and personal growth and develop HTIC as a quality school.Job Responsibilities:Develop an active learning environment that combines lectures, exercises, and field trips.Consult and work with students in groups and individually.Compile, administer, and grade exams and papers.Prepare, conduct, assess, and report student/class results.Adhere to requirements of incorporating specific objectives and course outcomes for all classes taught in-line with institutional outcomes and mission.Provide students with research assistance and instruction on the use of computers, the Internet, and subject-specific materials during classroom instruction and one-on-one guidance.Create a learning community in respect to multilingualism and multiculturalism.Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in content area from a regionally accredited college or university at the time of appointment, or a master’s degree in a different content area with 18 upper and graduate-level credit hours in the subject to be taught.Minimum of one year of previous college-level teaching experience. Previous teaching courses online is preferred.Able to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing within the English language.Knowledge of teaching/learning psychology and methods.Intermediate skills in Microsoft software programs: i.e. MS Word and MS Excel and familiar in using Google applications.Must be detail-oriented and accurate.Self-motivated and have a strong desire to pursue and disseminate knowledge.Location:Working Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays (hours may vary between 8:30 AM to 3:20 PM)Other Information:HTIC does not provide any travel assistance package.The qualified incumbent must be able to teach in person and on campus.Please attach an updated resume/CV and cover letter (to include updated contact information).Any inquiries please email to: hr@tokai.eduHTIC is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
