More than 5 yearsJob DescriptionSummary:The Senior Finance Analyst, reporting to the Director of Finance, plays a pivotal role in supporting finance operations, including month-end closing, financial statement preparation, and audit processes. This position is responsible for comprehensive financial analysis, developing forecasts, and providing actionable insights to support strategic business decisions. Additionally, the Senior Finance Analyst collaborates closely with project managers, sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation for long-term projects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Work with project managers to calculate estimates at completion (EAC) and estimate revenue for long-term projects.Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations to understand and plan for their resource requirements.Support the annual financial planning process and enhancement initiatives. Prepare financial and internal budgets and forecasts in collaboration with managers across the company.Conduct financial, business, or budget analysis and reporting as directed.Research, select, and compile financial data from multiple sources, including sales, project management, and engineering, to produce business information for decision-making.Manage month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliation of G/L, financial preparation, and variance analysis.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for review with the Director of Finance.Ensure accounting staff follow accepted practices and maintain internal controls to protect company assets.Provide financial information and analysis, including ad hoc reports, as requested.Oversee internal and external audits.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, recommending and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures.Promote continuous learning and development within the finance team to foster an inclusive and diverse work culture.Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.Effectively work and build relationships with diverse stakeholders across organizational levels.Work with global finance teams in the US, Belgium, and other regions to ensure alignment and consistency with financial practices.Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.5 or more years of relevant work experience required.Qualifications:Excellent written and oral communication skills.Mastery of corporate finance concepts, GAAP, medium level understanding of international insurance requirements, and accepted international business practices.Solid research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.Self-starter who thrives on taking ownership of work and responsibilities.Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.Ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships in a multi-cultural environment.Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.Experience with SQL and ERP software is a plus.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status.
