Post Closing and Administration Specialist

will orchestrate the closing process for all members of the Relationship Team and vendors associated with each loan. The closing process entails providing assistance by completing, collecting, and analyzing documents necessary for the extension of credit, booking the loan, resolving documentation exceptions post-closing, and interacting with borrowers, outside counsel, bank associates, and a variety of third parties.Primary ResponsibilitiesDrafts and reviews loan documentation for high complexity commercial loans in a multi-state environmentEngages with the deal team on forecasting loan pipeline activity and provides due diligence requirements as loans are assignedReviews attorney prepared loan packages for syndicated loans, often with Regions serving as the agent bankUnderstands the risks associated with closing various types of commercial loansObtains the necessary documents to evidence the debt and secure the loanEnsures the loan is closed per loan approval and that supporting documentation conforms to loan approval and policyIdentifies potential issues related to documentation, policy or regulatory requirement and remediates prior to closingCommunicates frequently with business partners throughout the closing processComplies with departmental performance level metricsContributes to the formulation of plans to mitigate risksUnderstands the client’s needs and identifies opportunities to improve and resolve client service issues related to the extension of commercial creditServes in a problem-solving capacity by providing client service for loan productsAddresses loan setup issues promptly to ensure system data integrityPartners with one (1) or more of the following segments: Real Estate Banking (includes Home Builder Finance, Income Property Finance, Affordable Housing, Real Estate Corporate Banking), Regions Equipment Finance, Specialized & Diversified Industries, and Problem Asset ManagementSupport in Real Estate Banking, Regions Equipment Finance, Specialized & Diversified Industries, and Problem Asset Management includes ensuring loans are booked timely, disbursing loan proceeds in accordance with loan approval and packaging loan documentsMay assist with the training of team members in areas such as loan documentation and complianceThis position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDFour (4) years of related financial services industry experienceGeneral knowledge of insurance requirements and other property due diligence necessary for real estate transactionsGeneral knowledge of syndicated transactions and the ability to collaborate with Capital Markets and other lenders for agent and non-agent dealsPreferencesBachelor’s degreePrevious Commercial Banking and/or Commercial Equipment Leasing ExperienceSkills and CompetenciesAbility to provide excellent customer serviceDemonstrates knowledge of commercial credit, regulatory (including Bank Secrecy Act - Anti Money Laundering Software (BSA/AML), Beneficial Ownership, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Flood Regulations) and documentation policiesDemonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time managementHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under time constraintsResponds with a sense of urgencyTransaction posting and syndication loan experience preferred.Compensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role.
