As a Senior Municipal Engineering Project Manager, your primary role would be overseeing and managing various engineering projects within a municipal setting. You are responsible for:All aspects of multi-discipline projects and clients from the proposal process to project closeout.Planning, directing, and coordinating activities including client meetings, public hearings, and public involvement events so that projects move forward within the prescribed time frames and budgets.Anticipating client needs, biases, and preferences and tailoring communication and work output accordingly.Leading a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring project progress in multiple locations.Working directly with municipal client staff to deliver CIP programs and/or projects, potentially on-site in a staff augmentation setting.Establishing and maintaining relationships with municipal clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring project requirements are met.Ensuring projects comply with relevant municipal codes, regulations, and environmental standards.Developing project budgets, allocating resources effectively, and monitoring expenditures to ensure cost control.Maintaining open and effective communication with clients as well as internal and external stakeholders.Identifying potential risks and challenges, developing risk mitigation strategies, and resolving issues that may arise during project execution.Overseeing contract negotiations, reviewing contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.Preparing or coordinating preparation of project/client correspondence and documentation.Participating in and leading business development activities to new and existing clients through plans, leads, and participation in client meetings and networking events.Identifying opportunities for process improvements, implementing best practices, and promoting innovation within the municipal engineering department.Understanding alternative funding sources for municipal projects, and the ability to secure funding.What You Will Bring:

The successful candidate must have:A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school.Registration as a professional engineer (or the ability to obtain registration within six months).5+ years municipal experience; direct experience working for a municipality is a plus.Experience in managing municipal CIP programs and projects, clients, and staff in this market.A history of delivering projects with positive customer service experiences.A positive attitude, as well as a willingness to learn.The ability and desire to develop an understanding of, or even anticipate the client’s needs, is a plus.Who We Are:
