By collaborating and challenging one another across multiple disciplines, we inspire our best work, ideas, and innovation.Primary PurposeSupports administration of executive compensation and benefits programs, including base salary, annual and long-term incentives, and nonqualified benefit plans for Sempra and its operating units. Provides consulting to Business Units, Human Resources, and executives regarding executive compensation and benefit issues.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupports administration of executive compensation and benefits programs, including base pay adjustments, equity awards, annual executive incentive compensation plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, nonqualified pension plans, and other executive benefits.Provides reporting and analyses for the compilation and preparation of executive compensation tables included in the Sempra proxy statement and other regulatory filings related to executive compensation and benefit matters.Prepares communication materials and interfaces with executives, financial planners, and HR partners to help ensure that participants understand the plans.Participates in the development and implementation of executive compensation plans, programs, and processes in support of corporate vision and strategy and assists with the preparation of materials for periodic meetings of the Compensation and Talent Development Committee of Sempra’s Board of Directors.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducationRequires a bachelor’s degree in a core business-related discipline (i.e., accounting, finance, economics, human resources, etc.).Professional certifications such as Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Equity Professional (CEP), or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) and/or advanced degree are desirable.ExperienceRequires 3 or more years of executive compensation, broad-based compensation, finance, legal, business, or related experience.Skills and AbilitiesMust be able to prioritize multiple recurring and nonrecurring projects in a very fast-paced and dynamic business environment.Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer/spreadsheet skills.Must be able to communicate with all levels of human resources and management on subjects that can be complex and, at times, of significant personal importance.Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.We offer a hybrid work environment.
