Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interconnection Engineer to join a growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing the interconnection process for utility-scale energy projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful integration of renewable energy projects into the electrical grid.Key Responsibilities:Lead the interconnection application process for utility-scale energy projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Perform power system studies using PSS/E software to evaluate the impact of new energy projects on the grid.Coordinate with utility companies, project developers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the interconnection process.Review and analyze interconnection agreements, technical specifications, and system impact studies.Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to interconnection and grid integration.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience with PSS/E software for power system analysis and simulations.Extensive experience with interconnection applications and processes for utility-scale energy projects.Strong understanding of electrical grid operations, regulatory requirements, and interconnection standards.Excellent communication and project management skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.Experience with renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, or energy storage systems.Familiarity with other power system analysis tools and software.If you are passionate about renewable energy and have the technical expertise to navigate the complexities of grid interconnection, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
