This role involves managing all aspects of brand communication, from content creation for digital marketing campaigns to public relations, social media, and media interactions ensuring that all efforts align with the resort’s overall objectives and brand values.Team Leadership:Lead, mentor and support the brand marketing and communications team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.Manage budgets, timelines, schedules and resources to ensure project success.Strategy Development:Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to strengthen the Killington Resort & Pico Mountain brand.Grow opportunities for integrated marketing programs/campaigns across social and traditional media that result in guest visitation.Brand Management:Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing channels.Lead the creative vision for the Killington and Pico brands, ensuring all materials are visually engaging and on-brand.Digital Marketing:Work closely with the Digital Marketing Team on asset needs and meet deadlines for ad placements.Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing assets, including social media, email marketing, and content marketing.Monitor the resort's website content and ensure it is up-to-date and engaging.Social Media Management:Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.Manage and support the social media team to create compelling content for all platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, Indeed, and TikTok.Ensure the team is monitoring social media channels, engaging with the audience, and responding to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to improve performance.Public Relations and Communications:Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, sponsored athletes, community members and other key stakeholders.Ensure the marketing specialists have the resources needed to prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.Coordinate media inquiries and media visits with the communications team.Utilize a mix of channels, including blog and traditional media, to create awareness of marketing messages, services, and products in an authentic way.Ensure we have a compelling daily snow/dirt report.Ensure internal and external communications are consistent and on brand.Other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:BA/BS in a related field such as Marketing, Content Creation, Communications, Journalism, PR or Advertising.3-5 years’ experience working in marketing preferred.3-5 years' experience managing a team.Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel; Microsoft PowerPoint; database management.Knowledge of Sprout, Cision, Basecamp, Adobe, Canto a plus.Prior social media and community management experience, building accounts with strong engagement.Experience working directly with influential creators preferred.Weekend and holiday work required, and occasionally outside of normal office hours.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent, on-brand writing and customer service.Excellent written and oral communication.Comfortable and confident at public speaking.Can-do positive attitude and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.Intermediate to expert level skier and/or snowboarder.Knowledge of and ability to downhill mountain bike a plus but not required.Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask while remaining communicative.Able to pitch and execute innovative, next-level concepts quickly.Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects/activities/directives simultaneously.It is the policy of Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC to provide equal opportunity and employment to all staff and applicants.
