A contractor position is available for a skilled scientist to join in Pfizer’s Pharmacokinetics Dynamics and Metabolism New Biological Entities (PDM-NBE) ADME group to address diverse and complex scientific ADME issues pertaining to protein biotherapeutics.This lab based role involves the scientific and technical support of in vitro and in vivo pre-clinical studies designed to understand mechanistic ADME characteristics of biotherapeutics which will support the development of predictive pharmacological tools.The candidate will participate in all phases of laboratory operations relating to biotherapeutic PK/tissue distribution/tissue catabolism study execution, sample preparation, and data analysis.We are looking for a scientist passionate about learning and able to quickly apply new skills to the project needs.Notes:This position would require working around mice.There will not be any direct handling of mice, only exposure to where they are held during studies and to biological samples received from mice.Exposure to radioactive isotopes will be weekly and levels are well within the occupational limits.Qualifications

BS/MS level education in Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmacology or closely related fields requiredIndustry experience in biopharma preferredExperience using radioactive materials (125I, 111In) is strongly preferredExperience with SDS-PAGE, binding assays, or cell culture is a plusKnowledge of IACUC, animal use protocols, PKPD study design and concepts is a plusHigh level of initiative in performing experiments, multi-tasking and troubleshootingFast learner and be able to master running/maintaining instruments after a short period of trainingStrong interpersonal skills, communication (verbal and written)Works well both independently and as part of a team. Collaborative skills and effective partnering skills in a matrix-environment is necessaryStrong data organization and analysis skillsPreferred Skills:Cell cultureExperience with radioactivitySDS-PAGELigand Binding AssaysAdditional Information
