Are you an experienced communications professional who is adept at developing and implementing integrated marketing and communication plans? Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation (UIC) is searching for a highly qualified Marketing and Communications Associate to join its corporate team. UIC is the Alaska Native Corporation for Utqiaġvik, Alaska. We’re one of Alaska's top 10 companies with approximately 4,000 employees nationwide and annual revenues above $800 million.The Marketing and Communications Associate will help to facilitate business growth and create brand awareness through unified marketing and communications efforts that are delivered in accordance with the company’s strategic plan and organizational strategy.ResponsibilitiesProviding support to UIC’s marketing and communications on all aspects of projects.Developing and producing marketing collateral.Creating, tailoring, and sourcing UIC’s website content.Coordinating promotional activities and events.Fostering collaboration and ownership among those who contribute to all UIC communications.This is a highly interactive, hands-on position which will coordinate directly with the Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications and other corporate departments and subsidiaries. Candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and successfully handle multiple priorities at once.QualificationsKnowledge and Skills:Excellent administrative and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.Experience and expertise in graphic design with the Adobe Creative Suite.Familiarity with social media management tools.Knowledge of and familiarity with industry and activities in Alaska (preferred).Education and Experience:A bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field. Five years of experience in marketing, public relations, or communications-related position.Authorized Driver Requirement:Employee must possess a valid driver license and pass Smith Driver Training within one year of hire.Drug and Alcohol Testing Programs:All employees must pass Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening and follow all UIC Drug and Alcohol Testing Program guidelines.Work Environment & Conditions:This position is based in Anchorage, Alaska, with travel to Utqiaġvik, Alaska, and statewide as needed.
